First 1:1 Spider

Well last night i had a crack at my first 1:1 macro.

Last night when Briony went out for a smoke when I saw a spider and quickly grabbed my camera and flash, it took me a while to get some focus (thanks to dpastern for the macro lesson :)) and when i finally got focus i took the shot with the flash off shoe as i don't have a bracket just yet and as you can tell the lighting is pretty crap :)

I would have liked more cracks at him, but as soon as the flash went off, he started crawling away and i got scared shitless cos on the viewfinder it looked so close, Briony jumped too when she saw it move and that was it, no more shots of the little critter, so the one and only shot i got is here:


I know its not the best lighting and what not, but i guess i was just somewhat happy with a somewhat in focus 1:1 shot :)

Macro is fun, although there's a massive leaning curve and patience is a must ;) :D
